Artist Information
The music of SilverWolf (Adelaunegvwaya - pronounced ah-day-la-oo {as in loot}-nay-guh-wah-yah) is described by their audiences and fans as "taking a chill pill." Their two releases, Tali and Kamama, have been well received and distributed world wide.
The groups music includes traditional tribal songs and folk like songs written in both English and Cherokee. Over the years their sound has expanded to include New Age and Ambient instrumental arrangements as well as spoken word compositions.
It all started in 2003 when Frank Silverhawk and Mike Whitewolf started performing together at concerts, powwows and culture fairs in the central Florida area. Frank was known in the state of Florida for his "Keepers of the Land" conservation program that he presented in many elementary, middle and high schools in Citrus County and the general west central Florida area.
Mike had been performing in shows and concerts with native artists from both North and South America. Additionally he was, and still is, active in presenting the basics of the Cherokee language at free public venues such as schools and local libraries. He currently assists with presenting both language and basic native flute classes at the First American Culture Center in Stark, Florida and in Citrus county.
The newest member of the group, Nic Lonewolf, joined SilverWolf in 2006 and brought not only his music talent but also his natural engineering expertise. He has done quite a bit of solo work as well.
