Well, I canned my official website (ronhitzhome.biz) because I could no longer afford it and nobody was watching it anyway(lol). I'm just using SF, Ourstage, Myspace, YouTube and a few other assorted, mostly free indie internet music sites. If you've taken the time to check out my stuff I simply can't thank you enough because your time is valuable and you don't want to waste it. I wouldn't mind sharing my music with more folks and getting to play some high profile gigs but I'm simply not interested in becoming "the next big thing, a pop star or something like that!" That life ain't for me! Don't get me wrong, I love to rock and I've been doing it for years, but as far as the fame part, I'd rather be at home holding my baby girl, playing my acoustic, looking out the window at the countryside, checking out your tunes or be at Hanging Rock! Yep, I work outside of the music field because where I come from you pretty much have to unless you just get real lucky! So, I'm a real down to Earth kind of guy that bleeds, sweats, cries, prays, drinks, loves, rides a motorcycle, rides a mountain bike, and makes music.

My music is multi-chenre, basically all over the place because I love to see, experience and learn from all of the beautiful people out there in this great big world. Then I tend to want to express what I've learned, experienced or felt about a certain situation, place, experience or thing. Simply put, it keeps me balanced, sane! It's hard work, but I really enjoy doing all of my own sessions work on my solo stuff(playing all of the instruments: guitars, bass, keys, drums and whatever else comes along). Writing and recording this way gives me a much greater respect for the instrumental talent of great bands that I've idolized and helps me to be more open minded/understanding when I'm working in band situations with other players/writers. Oh, then there's the lyrics and vocals. I'll just let the words and voice speak for theirselves. That along with my "home studio sound quality", I'll just leave for the critics and their mumbo jumbo! How it happens, is just how it happens! Sorry if it ain't good enough(lol)! Maybe I can do it better next time, after all, it's the journey, ehhh?
