Ok, for those of you who are interested in buying a few of my tracks, or the entire album, here on Stereofame, click the big green arrows beside the tracks, then either click on arrows piecemeal, or simply click on the "Buy Full Album for $11.99" link at the bottom of the list, enter your code, and shazam, you're licensed.

Unfortunately at present there is no way for me to put all of my album tracks, (all 17 of them), to become a downloadable album, (15 is the maximum number of tracks for an Album). So, there are 2 tracks, which are provided free above, which are part of the album, and should be downloaded as well. To help, I have inserted a comment into each track telling you the track order so you can reconstruct the album for yourselves later on, should you want to.

Simply click any of the following links, and you'll be able to get a copy for next to nothing, in my opinion. But then I've always thought that truly independent music like this should cost at least double what label produced music costs. Please seriously consider making the purchase a copy of my debut album: Strange Attractors, volume one; either through this site, in their online store, or another service/website.

The album is currently available for sale through a number of online stores, and/or membership programs such as eMusic, Napster, Amazon MP3, iTunes, Shockhound, Lala, Amie Street, as well as right here on Stereofame.

Alright, I have received numerous questions regarding, "How'd you do that?" and so, here is my guide to making a lovely profile page. This section shall be expanded as new things are discovered and/or made available.

One:

Do not bother with full-scale .html coding. It will not be seen, and you'll just waste your time. "I've done it before, it'll work again." Is not always true. Whenever any web-site asks the user to simply type the info into a box like sf does, rest assured it'll be formatted to fit the page.

Two:

Experimentation is the key to knowledge; so feel free to try it, it may not be quite what you were expecting, but if you can deal with the result, may as well leave it up for future generations of stereofame users to learn from.

Three:

If you want to know something, just ask. Us longer term users of sf love answering questions, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. So just ask, and I'll try to give you an honest and thoughtful answer.

Not to mention I am a very good regular point producer. I was after all the 6th Artist to reach 1 million points here, last year, 120,000+ points in the Spring, and got to 89,000+ points in the Summer of '09. :-)

It'd appear as though quite a few of my early tracks are being used by film makers as "temp" score pieces in various projects, so yeah!!! It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy to know that my music is being used, right beside Peter Gabriel's soundtrack LP: Passion; even if I'm not getting paid for it.

If anyone, either Artist or Label, wants any help getting going with this site. Just shoot me a message, and I'll hit you back with some advice. Some of the workings of the site, and how to maximize point scores, can be somewhat tricky to understand, so I figured I'd offer to help out the many fresh faces on here.

And no, I don't get paid for it, or maybe I should say "WILL WORK FOR DOWNLOADS!!!". I just sleep very little, and am generally on this site every 6-8 hours or so. Just pretty please, at least try to use correct American English grammar, and spelling. While I can speak 5-6 languages, I can only read the one.

I have relatively recently begun having a label of my own on the site, it is called: Fingers in the Fire . It is my belief that each Artist on this site should set one up for themselves. This will become very important if one chooses to be a "point player", and begins to spend serious time online playing the game. The name Obi Das came to me in a dream. The person I met in that dream told me that I could use the name, but only for things that I did really well. In any case, and as odd as it might sound I think I've made a great album, and so felt it an appropriate name for my sonic self.

The "Strange Attractors" part came from my interest in subatomic particles. In fact my nickname in highschool was "Quarky", because in 11th grade I knew the 6 species of quarks by heart; but back to the meaning of the title... When 2, or more "strange quarks" are in proximity they produce a "strange attraction". Which simply means that their reactions are erratic and unpredictable, (unless/until they find other particles at CERN).

The third part, "volume one", is due to my love for making music of this sort. I thought it'd be needed in order to tell LP(s) apart, since there are many more to follow. As this is my first foray into music, it became "volume one".

Put it all together, and you get, Obi Das: Strange Attractors, volume one.

I'm currently hard at work on volume two, of the Strange Attractors set, which is currently slated for a hopeful, (no guarantees), Spring 2010 release.
