UPDATE (June 22, 2009)

Not much new on the music front. I've been taking a break from music altogether to focus on some important things in my life. Once I get everything in line, I'll be purchasing some new equip in the near future to get back into things. Getting a new Mac Pro, monitors, recording gear, new mixers, the whole works so that I can start working on recording and executive producing my sister's album.

UPDATE!!! (May 7th, 2009)

So the last few months have been pretty busy for me. I finally finished "Can You Do This? : The Instrumentals". Right now I'm waiting for the money to get it processed through TuneCore so the album will be available on ITunes and other retailers. The first single, "Urban Requiem", is available here and already on ITunes, Amazon, Lala, Emusic, and Amie St. Just look up JmAY and Urban Requiem (Google) and get a copy of it. I've received a lot of positive feedback from it. If you, again, like classical music with an edge, definitely help support me by getting the track.

Aside from hip-hop, RB, and other commercial stuff, I've really been focusing a lot of my creative energy towards my Opus 1 symphonies. Below, as mentioned before, is the link for Symphony No. 1(C-Minor), but I've finished major movements in both No. 2 (E-Major) and No. 3 (F-Major). God has blessed me with this ability to create orchestral music so easily and nonchalantly. I've been able to write full movements in single days. I'll probably continue working on those while I await the release of "Can You Do This?". Many ask me why I'm writing so much orchestral/compositional music, but I plan to use it for entrance into a school's conservatory so I can start my undergrad as a music composer major.

Other than that, I'm just surrounding myself with good energy and music. Thanks for stopping by and checking up on me. More music to come in the near future!

UPDATE!!! (March 6th, 2009)

My second album, "Can You Do This?", is almost done!

The album features me at my best, creating music with inspiration from my untrained classical roots, combines it with crazy hip-hop, R&B, and ethnic drums and bass-lines, doing something that most haven't thought or achieved. A departure from my strictly Classical first album, this album will surprise and definitely get you moving when you hear it. I'm satisfied with the track listing so far and have a bit more creation, editing, and mastering to do.

My eventual dream is to have a hand musically in every facet of the industry: commercial radio hits, TV, film, commercials, and any other type of media you can think of. With that having been said, there will be a few tracks that are geared towards a dramatic, cinematic experience, some will be radio friendly instrumentals, and others just raw soundtrack quality tracks with crazy hot and stupid rhythm sections.

I'm pushing for a mid to late spring release, so I'm giving you all the heads up now so you know what to expect and to get a vibe as to whether or not you all would like to purchase something like this.

Regardless, the music is for me and my outlet in the world. Through the diversity of the album, however, hopefully someone listens and finds something they like.
