The Stereofame "Like Dandelion Dust" Movie Soundtrack Contest would like to thank the Stereofame music voting community, all entrants and judges.
WINNING ARTIST
Hank GrantHank Grant and Co-Songwriter Bill Hail will be flown next week, courtesy of Stereofame, to Palm Springs, California for the International Movie Festival and viewing of the World Premier of
Like Dandelion Dust. We've been told be the production company that Hank's song "What I Wouldn't Give" will be featured for about 15 - 20 seconds in one of the early scenes of the movie. Stereofame will be there to videotape Hank's reaction to winning the contest and being featured in the movie.
Contest Note:Stereofame worked tirelessly with the production company in a failed attempt to award the winner from one of the entry contestants. The Director ultimately chose to exercise a provision in our agreement and contest rules that, as a last resort, enabled all Stereofame artists to be eligible. The Producer stated that the genre of the scene required a country musician. Otherwise, Kitchie Nadal would have been the winner. As a result, Stereofame is electing to recognize her accomplishment of being selected as a finalist and we are awarding her $1,000 as a consolation prize. Stereofame looks forward to continuing to work with motion picture production companies to provide similar contests in the future and we plan to announce our next one very soon.
