The Las Vegas based duo "Modern Science" was surfing the net a year ago when they stumbled upon the Stereofame site. "We immediately thought it was a cool concept," says Kane, who is originally from Canada and is the primary songwriter for the group. The band's self-titled debut was recorded in their home studio in Las Vegas over the past year. "We're really proud of this album," says Mike, who plays bass and provides backup vocals. "We feel like we've already put out our greatest hits album and now, we can expand musically and do almost anything." Their 10 original tracks are currently available on Stereofame.com
Mike and Kane intend to use their prize money to help pay for their upcoming trip to the CMJ Music Marathon in New York City on October 23rd, where they will perform at the Ace of Clubs as part of Stereofame's Official CMJ Showcase.
