I like the new badges to identify VIP members!
I deleted a song after the launch of SF 1.0 and planned to upload a newer version of that same song.
The first I tried uploading the song, it said:
You cannot add this song.
A few days later it ALSO said:
You do not have any more song slots.
I tried Internet Explorer at work as well. Didn't work.
And when can we customize and edit stuff like we did before SF 1.0 came along?
As much as I like the new look, the profiles are ugly the way they're set up. Photos, tags and videos are at the bottom of the page. And you can't edit your "friends", meaning anyone can add you and you don't have a say in it afterward.
hello i love your site but sence i opend hear i cannot get on Boggy Creek Profile Every Bedy Ells Ok And Can Not Play My Vid Any Help Would Be Great Neal A New Fan Of Your Site
when will the mass messaging for the backstage pass members be available?
I cannot change the order of my songs, in my upload list, It's said to drop and drag, but I cannot.
What's up?
Hi its Belizer. Though we have no forum - it is great to have SF Blog. Well i have wrote this to SF before so I will just put some kind of "brief info"
1. SF rank - It seems this is something that cannot be explained %) Good artists have very bad ranks
2. Sorting by points - also does not work correctly - those who have less points are higher.
3. Chat - very small window.
Thanx
Belizer %)
Doug: what browser are you using when you experience the issue with dragging and dropping? Have you tried performing that action in a different browser? Please let us know so we can address accordingly. Thanks!
nealseamon: please let us know what browser you are using and also the version of Flash installed on that browser so we can assist. You might try accessing the site from a different browser to see if the problem persists. Let us know... thanks!
Below is the explanation for SF Rank.
For Artists: Stereofame uses SF Rank for Artists to indicate and organize high quality music on the site. By considering over 100 variables through a unique formula created by Stereofame, songs and artists receiving a high score through the formula will receive a better SF Rank and are more likely to appear at the top of the music charts. Some important factors considered are: music production quality, originality, musical arrangement, melody, musicianship, creativity and vocals.
Song votes, song comments and music reviews submitted by users are also considered in SF Rank. Through the formula, votes by some users may have greater influence on an Artist's SF Rank than others and thus, such users' votes may have more value at any given time.
The SF Rank scores are real-time and dynamic using website activity data to determine song quality. Stereofame takes a proactive approach to improve the ranking quality in an effort to create a useful resource for users searching for talented, independent and unsigned artists from around the world. Thus, Stereofame reserves the right to modify the SF Rank Formula at any time and without notice.
For Labels: SF Rank for Labels is based upon the success of the Artists that they have signed and that success is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, signed Artists' SF Rank, Music Store sales activity, contest participation results and user voting. This ensures that Labels who are really good at picking out great Artists rise to the top of the rankings. Stereofame takes a proactive approach to improving the ranking quality of Labels and thus reserves the right to modify the formula used in the SF Rank for Labels at any time and without notice.
Thank you for the feedback about the chat window size. We will discuss ways to address that and would appreciate more feedback from others about this.
No exact ETA for Backstage Pass member mass messaging... should not be more than 30 days though.

nealseamon: sounds like you are using the Internet Explorer browser. I now need to know what version you have. Can you go to the top of your browser and click HELP and then click "About Internet Explorer" from the drop down. It should then show you which version of IE you are using. There is a known issue with IE 8, so I do recommend that you either install the Firefox browser or email stereofame@stereofame.com with your desired song order and we can rearrange them for you while we work through the issue.
Here's a link to Firefox: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/
Please let us know your version of Internet Explorer.
hey people at stereofame, this is brian from Hel-L.A. Records. i woke up today and i saw that all of my label ranks on my artists have dropped. and i was wondering if they are going to be put back the way they were because they dropped between 100-500 spots on most of them. i have a backstage membership and i lsiten to all 160 songs from all of my artist everyday and i dont think i deserve this to happen to my label ranks. if you can please message me. or do something about this. my link is stereofame.com/#/jreiter tahnk you
Brian: we posted your question as the FAQ in today's post. Here is the response...
As a result of removing the "Use it or Lose it" rule from the Game, Label ranks were restored to their original positions at the beginning of the season before "Use it or Lose it" played a role in repositioning.
The good news is that (1) No points were removed during the restoration process, (2) Labels now receive more points because no matter what our Label Rank is, you will never receive less than 50% of the top ranked Label and (3) Labels that are active get up to 3000 points a month more than Labels that are inactive by being awarded 100 points for the first vote each day.
