05.20.10 Hello. :) Shots in the Dark will be available on items shortly. Just finished a new video for the first track of the release, "I'll Come Running." Thank you so very much for stopping by.....

12.18.09 Just uploaded all the now mastered tracks for my EP, "Shots in the Dark," including my newest collaboration with composer/musician Fran Schultz, "Transition." The songs are in EP order with Transition playing the anchor ( here on stereofame, the first 5 songs on my playlist are off the EP). Thank you to Fran for allowing me to use her beautiful piece of music. It was very inspiring to me and hit me to the core. Also thank you to MeleniumX for doing a brilliant job mastering the tracks. Ed Layola is responsible for the mixing once again and does not dissapoint.

12.07.09 Hi to ya'll! I'm here uploading my newest song, "My Banner". Thank you to MeleniumX for allowing me to sing over his beautiful track. I feel so lucky that no one snatched it up before me...it has been waiting around for me to reach it ;) since 1978. I hope that you enjoy it. :) I'm also adding before and after videos from the recording session. This song really effected me emotionally and I had some deep personal feelings to share afterward. Hope you enjoy those as well. Thank you so much for visiting me and leaving comments. They're real special to see. Grant, thank you for your amazing production in the studio...you bring out the best in me baby. Ed, you are a master mixer....no doubt. Frank, your final touches with mastering are so appreciated. <3 Ari

11.13.09 Added some videos today and a song...yipeee! I was having so much fun dancin round my kitchen last night listening to Tracy Chapman and wanted to share the moment with you. There definitely uncut, raw and imperfect, but show me bein me! :) One of my favorite activities is to cook with a glass of red wine and some killer music. It nurtures my soul. US.G took a break from mixing to play some guitar for me and I filmed him messin while I sang along...this is how a lot of our songs are created. I never mentioned anything about my painting videos on here yet....One night I went around and filmed myself talking about my artwork, and showing it of course. It was a blast for me and I was excited to share. One more thing today...I also posted a new song. It's Steve Rupert's song "Raging River" actually and I sang some back up vocals to it. Thank you so much Steve for lettin me do that. I love the song and felt so lucky you let me add my voice and post it on my page. Check out Steve's music if you want some quality song writing. It's really good stuff. Okay...I think I'm officially done gabbing now. :)

11.08.09 Hello! I'm tired to the bone from singing my guts out last night at an artist gathering at SIR studios in Hollywood. What a trip it was to be there! It was a huuuge studi...well super big to me at least, having only seen our humble studio that's in our garage. What an experience to meet and see so many amazingly talented people perform. I felt so lucky to be there. There will be a video that comes out at some point showing what happened last night and I can't wait to see it...I'll let ya'll know when that happens. I'm sure it'll take a slice a time. I also wanted to say that I am sorry that I haven't been hanging out here as much lately. For those of you that have been visiting m here it is deeply appreciated and I feel bad that I haven't been as supportive. I've been hanging out on liquid audio a lot and my facebook page...if you wan to get closer to me, those are the places I am currently most present at. Okeedoke...said my pieces o peace. Talk to ya'll later.... <3 Ari

10.26.09 This weekend was very productive musicaly. We had Eric V in town and Rusty Lindsey and Ed Layola over for good eats and drinks and jammin and mixin and recordin. Eric wrapped "Sweet Escape"...Yippee! And it turned out so poopy fresh and just catchy. Killer. The highlight for me was really getting in some quality jam time with US.G and Rusty. We've got the unofficial showcase comin up soon and really wanna sound great soooo...we got down to it. It was a great feeling to connect with their guitars and start getting comfortable just being who I am in front of a camera. We filmed quite a bit of our little session to help with the nerves and weirdness that can come when the lens points your way. Anyways, I've posted two of the videos from the weekend up here for your viewing pleasure...the fruits of our labor! (And for me, quite a few glasses of red wine ;) I do hope that you enjoy seeing them. I forgot to mention that for some reason I can get the tittle of one of the videos to show up under there. The one with out the tittle is "If You"...a sort of a meditation on it. Alrighty...tata!

10.13.09 Heylo! Just finished loading up some videos from before and after I recorded "Bella Corazon," with some help from our friend Kyle Peterson. Kyle is the guy who did the design work for the Becoming album (Gnos-tel-jah) and is workin on the new one for Balancing. He's awsome! Has his own label up here too...I think its called RIPIC. Anyways, I do hope you enjoy seeing the animated side of me, as before now it was only messages and photos that gave you an idea of who I am. Much appreciation to anyone who watches...hope you have a fantastic evening! Oh, I forgot to mention that I accidentally made a mistake on one of the videos...meant to say that it was the 17th not the 7th the day I recorded. Not that that's very important but you know, sometimes the anal retentive leaks in. Again, much love to ya'll.

10.11.09 I just posted my newest collaborative effort. MeleniumX allowed me to record vocals over his treasured "Bella Corazon" and I am so so happy that he did. The instrumental version touched me deeply and I feel so lucky to have been given the opportunity to write and sing to it. Thank you Frank! I've posted the lyrics and I also, at some point, hope to post a video from right before I recorded and one from right after. I was beyond nervous before going into the studio and wanted to capture it. After I felt so peacful and happy... :) . I recorded myself on an old video camera though and we can't figure out how to transfer the files the right way....silly, silly. Hopefully, one of the more technically inclined people we know can assist us. I used Frank's original title for inspiration and the feeling from his music. This made the words flow so fluidly from me. That and the love in my heart I have for my husband. I sincerely hope you enjoy and would love to hear your thoughts.

I also wanted to add that Edward Layola mixed this song down and he did an amazing job. Mr. US.G also did a superb job with the arrangment of the song. How lucky I am to have you guys on my side. :) You really aide me in my artful quests. Mellenium X really brought us home with a strong finish and mastered the song very well too. WOwza...you guys rock!

09.26.09 So....awhile back I put together a list of cover songs for a fabulous guitarist we know (his name is Rusty Lindsey), to learn for me. I figured eventually they'd add up and maybe we could get some gigs around town. People do love to hear songs they know. They're like old favorite blankies or pajamas....yumm yummm. Today I am adding the first cover Rusty and I have tackled together, to my playlist. Rusty is also responsible for the artful touches of harmonica in the background, and will have an EP of his own to post soon. Very talented guy. Any who how, that's what I got to say today. I sincerely hope ya'll enjoy this country girl part of me. Hope the new season is treatin ya kindly. :) Opps...forgot to mention that you can download the track for free if ya like.

09.11.09 Wow, I am super excited to post this new collaborative effort, 'Ghosts of the Cosmos'. Alex Final is resposible for the pschodelic, other-wordly music on this one. Thank you for letting me bless it Alex! US.G is featured on the track and he did deliver. I hope that everyone enjoys! Please let me know what you think. Little bit o info....I wrote the lyrics to the track while watching 'Alice in Wonderland'. Really helped me get in the mood to take the cosmos trip, and it was a delightful one. :)

09.08.09 So, I thought that I should really add a bit more about the other band that I am a part of, Gnos-tel-jah. If you haven't checked out the Gnos-tel-jah site, please do! It is well worth your time. David WIll and my husband US.G. push the limits of what it means to be an M.C. and always come correct. I sing the hooks and the occasional verse for the band and US.G makes the truly original music behind us all. If you are lookin for a spin on the hip hop genre that you aren't soon to forget, Gnos-tel-jah music is a must. We are having an official site designed right now, which will contain lryics, news, bios, photos and perhaps a blog. If you wanna see more photos now, Mr. US.G broke outta his box a bit today and posted some on the Gnos-tel-jah site. I also wanted to let you know that in about 20 days I will be finished with my current job and be taking a break from work for at least several months so that I can complete my album and support the music buisness we got goin with our label Axyal Node. I hope to bring completed versions of some of my songs very soon, and know that being free from the dread that is the retail world will only hieghten my creativity and help speed along the process. Thank you so much to anyone who is interested in all of this. Much lovely love....

09.07.09 Oh the joys of freedom of expression! Is any one lisenting? Does anyone care? Maybe it doesn't even matter as long as we can sing freely. Maybe, maybe. I suppose it does really up the ainty (sp?) to know you are justly heard. I want to share all of myself with the world and I am gettin my first real taste of that from my stereofame experience. There is so much love and whole-hearted support here. I have rarely found such a thing in this so often unkind and shadowed world. There's brilliance in just being there for one another. Priceless it is. I love this place and feel lucky to belong. You all are a unique blessing to me.

08.28.09 I feel like writing. It's the strangest thing, really. I use to be so scared to express myself and now...I crave the feeling of freedom that comes from it. Isn't that why we love music so much? ( Well, at least one of the reasons;) Because it allows us to feel every part of ourselves without apology. Nothing like the feeling of recording. The sound of your voice echoing in a private, safe space, a space where you can be, say anything. It's like what life should be...an open invitation to be exactly who you are. Hope you don't mind my just goin on about what's in my head. Hope you all have a place you feel safe being exactly who YOU are. love and wishes of wellness to you...

08.19.2009 Hello Everyone! I'm really excited to add a fifth song to my playlist today. TDawn was nice enough to let me sing over her beautiful instumental track 'I'll Come Running to You'. When I sat down to write to it I went with the emotion behind the title she gave the song becuase it spoke to me and seemed to capture so well what the music was saying...imagine that ;). Very well done song TDawn...your music spoke right to my heart and made it easy to write and sing to. And Grant (aka US.G), your fine tuning of my lyrics was crucial to the flow of the song and made me feel so much more comfortable singing it. Your production added serious emotion and artistry as well. Thank you baby. Alrighty, I'm done now. 'Cept for...I sincerely hope ya'll enjoy it and I would love to hear what you think.

Hello Everyone! I'm so excited to join! I've watched my husband, US.G of Gnos-tel-jah, trip out on this site and I wanted to wait till my album was done to enjoy it myself, but I just couldn't resist. Hope ya'll like what I've posted. I still have elements to add and editing to do but my vocal's are on there as I think they'll stay, so there is still some pleasurable listening to be had, if you dig this sorta thing. Can't wait to hear them with drums! The guitar tracks are written by my husband and he produces the songs. I should say Axyal Node produces them, that's our label. I'm still working on my piano skills. Alrighty, I actually have to go get ready for work now. :( Awww, if life 's work could be just music. Until then I'll make the best of it I can. Can't wait to chat with anyone who is interested. For those that are, thanks for the interest shown and the support you may show in the future. :) ~Ari Vox ~<~<>~<~<>~<~<>~<~>~<~<>~<~<>~<~<>~<~<>~<~<>~<~<>~<~<>~<~
